It came upon a midnight dreary, very quick and eerie. It came down with a ghastly grim and fantastic terrors. It made my sorrows come alive and torture me. I went to find my tormentor . My tormentor was a dementor. This dementor was from the bottom of my being. It was all seeing and healing. It tried to heal me, but it ended up filling me with sorrow and painful meanings.
Why must I be labeled like every other girl in the world? Do I have to be judged by my beauty on the outside instead of the beauty in my heart? Must my self-worth be measured by how I dress, talk, or feel? I believe I should not be subjected to be someone I‘m not. I don’t need to pretend to be someone I’m not just so I can fit into society .I should be able to be myself and not be labeled as something I’m not. We should measure everyone’s self-worth by how they act. We shouldn’t judge and label others; it will only come back to haunt us later in life. Remember the golden rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. If you remember this you will feel so much happier. I know this sounds odd coming from a teenager, but I really believe that if you follow the golden rule and live life to the fullest you will be happy. You may have some haters, but they don’t matter. Don’t let them steal your happiness and smiles. They have no power or control over you.

I’m a part of Lost Generation
and I refuse to believe that
I can change the world
I realize this may be a shock but
“Happiness comes from within”
is a lie, and
“Money will make me happy”
So in thirty years I’ll tell my children
They are not the most important thing in my life
My employer will know that
I have my priority straight because
Work
Is more important than
Family

Thirty years from now I will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of my divorce
I do not concede that
I will live in a country of my own making
In the future
Environmental destruction will be the norm
No longer can it be said that
My peers and I care about this earth
It will be evident that
My generation is apathetic and lethargic
It is foolish to presume that
There is hope
And all of this will come true unless we reverse it.

I feel as if I am an angel who tries to be good but always fails in the end. Why does this always happen to me? Is this punishment for something I’ve done in the past? Maybe I should be a good angel towards others, but expect nothing from them in return. If I could picture myself as an angel I would have wings; one black, one white. My clothing would consist of a simple white dress that is tattered and torn at the bottom. I would have no halo because I am a fallen one. I am not necessarily evil, but I have simply lost my way. Angels, like people, are not always perfect. Sometimes we fall to earth because we are chasing something or someone more beautiful than ourselves. This is not vanity or lust, but simply a human-like want. I believe that some angels will fall. But while they are picking themselves back up they will become strong enough to return to heaven. Some angels here on earth have to go through hardships. Those hardships will make them stronger. If you see someone doing something good out of the goodness of their hearts, they are an angel. If you want to be an angel do not expect everything to come to you. Sometimes you are going to have to fight for what you want. Every time someone sees you they are going to ask “Why is this person so fascinating?” “Is it because they are an angel?” The answer to this question should be No, I am not an angel, but I am simply a human who believes that they are an angel-like being. No one can be an angel until they have done anything and everything out of the kindness of their hearts without expecting something in return from others. This is what makes angels fascinating and beautiful.
